Our 2022 design was based on an abstract take on the iconic CW Stephens architecture of Harvey Nichols flagship Knightsbridge store, using a series of dynamic angular shapes wrapped around the packaging in varying scale. Brought to life by bright pops of colour against a monochrome background, this contemporary approach really captured the cutting-edge spirit of the brand – while also creating real standout in the busy retail environment.
We embraced this bold graphic style and distinctive colour palette for 2023 – along with our ‘25 beauty-full days’ strapline – beginning to create a recognisable identity for the calendar that will help build anticipation for its launch year after year.
A fresh take on the design was inspired by a play on the idea of ‘radiant beauty’ coupled with Christmas iconography. We looked at deconstructing the shapes of twinkling lights and glimmering baubles to create a radial, shard-like effect. Projecting the thought of a calendar bursting with the latest beauty must-haves, and perfectly capturing the celebratory mood of the season.
The more abstract, unexpected approach serves as a wonderful contrast to the often more traditional ‘Christmas’ look which saturates the market at this time of year – acting as a real festive style statement for the brand and clearly setting Harvey Nichols beauty advent apart from its competitors.
The final piece was beautifully produced and finished, to create a sleek and luxurious feel that will look fabulous on any dressing table well beyond the festive season. We already can’t wait to see what will be behind those doors in 2024!
